Puerto del Carmen was once a small fishing village with a little harbour. Now the old harbour has become a wonderful place to go out with a nice square surrounded  by  restaurants and bars.

Here you can find "El Ancla", one of the oldest and best restaurants in Puerto del Carmen, famous for its delisious fish, dishes and a wonderful view over the old harbour.

Sincs October 2003 we now operate this famous old restaurant and keep the wonderful tradition of exellent fresh fish, delicious tapas, home made italian pizza, the finest in steaks, a classy ambience and the best panorama of the old harbour. 

In February 2004  we rebuilt the whole restaurant and made it even more comfortable for our guests.

The old harbour is not only a place to go out at the evenings but it`s also a place of many activities, whether  traditional canarian celebrations, festivities, parish fair, folklore music and dance or big rock and pop concerts like the annual Lanzaid Festival since 2005.

In El Ancla you can choose whether you want to be close to all this at our tables outside and directly at the square while making use of our great service or if you prefer to stay inside and can have a panoramic view from our 2nd floor e.g. - anyway, El Ancla is the first place for a great stay!
